WarmUps 4 Writing

  • Close your eyes and clear your mind- then open them. What is the first thing you see? Write a paragraph about it or from that items perspective.
  • Think of something you have bought, watched, read, or done lately and write a review.
  • Is there something you absolutly dispise doing? An activity or movie? Now try to put together a persuasive essay about it. Heres the catch- make it sound fun and inviting!
  • Here is a great one if you are in a large group- first person, start off a story with a sentence or prompt. Pass the paper on. The next person adds on, pass it on and so on so forth. After a while, finish up and look at the result!
  • Though it may take a while, this prompt is fun! So one day, write a paragraph to any prompt of your choice. Then leave it. The next day, add another paragraph or as much as you want. The next day do the same. After about a week go back and read what you have. Has your purpose changed? Your voice? Have you stayed focused?
